New Member Procedure

Membership Qualifications for New Members

Membership for the Meijer Junior Players Tour is open to all junior golfers ages 9-19. High school graduates are only eligible to participate through August 31st of the summer immediately following graduation. This tour will be limited to 1025 members and is designed to help gain more tournament experience. The 1025 members will consist of past members who did not become eligible for the Adams Golf Junior Tour and 2008 new members.

Once you have completed your membership registration, you will be emailed your user ID and password where you can then login to take the rules quiz and then begin registration for your tournaments, update personal information, upload a personal picture for your profile, make changes to your tournament schedule, and many other exciting possibilities.

New members for the 2008 season will have the opportunity to select a maximum of seven events at the time that they join. Applications will be accepted on a first come basis or until the age division is sold out.

Battlefield Promotion: A program designed to give Meijer Junior Players Tour members the opportunity to advance to the Adams Golf Junior Tour within the regular season. In order to be promoted you must win one regular season events and place in the top three in another event.

Parent/Child Event

New members in 2008 will receive an application for twenty-three events with the opportunity to play in a maximum of seven events. The Parent/Child Event do not count as one of your regular season events.

Membership and Entry Procedure

2008 Annual Membership Fee: $100.00

2008 Tournament Entry Fees:

One Day Tournament (18 holes) - $60.00

One Day Tournament Girls 11-12 and Boys & Girls 9-10 Divisions (9 holes) - $30.00

Parent Child Events - $200.00

Membership includes application to all Meijer Junior Players Tour events. The schedule will consist of three qualifier rounds, 23 one day events, and a 36 hole Tour Championship. Applications will be taken on a first-come first-serve basis or until our Membership has filled. All fields will be limited to 180 players.

Format and Division Breakdown

One day events are 18 hole stroke play except the Girls 11-12 and 9-10 age divisions which will be a 9 hole stroke play event. Players may elect to move up a division for the entire season.

Players are grouped into a division based on their age as of August 5, 2008. The divisions are as follows including the number of holes played with the exception of the Tour Championship which will be a total of 36 holes.

Players in the Girls 11-12 and Boys & Girls 9-10 age divisions will be playing 9 hole tournaments at all regular season events, except if one qualifies for the Tour Championship, they will play a complete 18 hole round on August 5th.

Tour Championship Entry Criteria

The Boys and Girls 15-19 and 13-14 divisions must win at least 1 of the 23 regular season events to qualify for the tour championship.

The Boys and Girls 11-12 and 9-10 divisions must win 2 of the 23 regular season events in order to qualify for the tour championship.
